Part of the"Florifix" series, this artwork reimagines classical religious imagery through the lens of nature and renewal. Inspired by ancient French and German illuminations as well as elements of naïve art, this piece brings new life to tradition.
At its heart is an upcycled Jesus figurine, salvaged from an old, broken cross. Carefully restored and set against a hand-painted floral background, the piece transforms the sacred into something fresh and thought-provoking. Vibrant acrylics on wood provide a striking contrast to the aged gesso figure, seamlessly blending tradition with a modern, organic aesthetic.
Each "Florifix" creation is a celebration of renewal, reinterpretation, and the timeless connection between spirituality and the natural world.
